Hello, I will write my question in english because my german is
very little . I hope this is the correct forum for this question!
My family came to Canada in 1912 from Koln and my
grandfather had our family coat of arms engrave in the
silverware. The coat of arms have a monk or bishop standing
on top of a knights helmut and on the shield is a swan, and
it has what appears to be leaves surrounding the shield and
helmet. does any one know what the colors of this coat of
arms are supposed to be. My e-mail is pilgersh@shaw.ca

ein Wappen Pilcher ist weder im Siebmacher noch in der Deutschen Wappenrolle - zusammen 110.000 Wappen - verzeichnet.
Ein Wappen, das einen Mönch oder Bischof als Helmziehr hat und einen Schwan zeigt, konnte ich bei der EDV-mäßigen Suche unter 672 Wappen, die einen Schwan zeigen, nur die Wappen "Mörl" sowie "Schwehle" (Mann wachsend) und "Münnich" (Mönch zwischen zwei Fügeln wachsend) finden.
